Mike Richter played for the New York Rangers for 14 seasons. He played over 38,000 minutes, accumulated a 2.89 GAA and finished his career with 24 shutouts. Known for his acrobatic style, Richter led the US to defeat Canada at the World Cup in 1996, while winning tournament MVP and more importantly, assissting Mark Messier and the New York Rangers to their Stanley Cup win in 1994. His poise, class and ability to be depended on in big games is a true testament of his greatness and he'll always be seen as the best American-born goaltender.
