The biggest thing about SEO is getting the link out there, preferably on high quality sites (lots of links to them).

For your niche, a quick Google reveals lots of photographers websites, as well as some "directories". As long as the directory looks somewhat legitimate, see about submitting your site to them. For example, Google lists businesses and locations in a little google maps widget. Try to see how to get listed in their business directory.

Another tip: See where your competition gets links from. You want to target "Calgary Wedding Photographers"? Search that, then try "link:MyCompetition.com" and see where they get their links.

For completeness, but not always practical, if you are targeting a term like "wedding photography", having those words in your domain is the #1 best way to get near the top of the results. If not possible, try to make your site URLs something like "mydomain.com/wedding-photography". I took a look at your site, and frankly, Flash is terrible for SEO. Consider adding an HTML version of your site, heavy with text that contain your targeted keywords.
