Lastly, we're kind of on the fence about lego land. We might ditch it and just add a day at the wild animal park as well as the san diego zoo.(my daughter loves going to the zoo here)

I was gonna mention the California City Pass, but looks like you're on it already. We used it a couple summers ago, and you save quite a bit.
Buy a portable GPS if you're renting a car down there. Comes in very handy. Have fun driving down there, because you'll hate Calgary even more when you get back.
