So we recently finished off our basement and have an entertainment room setup. But for some reason I can not get the receiver, TV, and Blu-Ray to work.
I have a Samsung 550 50" TV, a Pioneer VSX-01TXH receiver, a Samsung Blu-Ray, and a Shaw HD tuner. They Shaw box is hooked up with component cables, Blu-Ray is HDMI, both to the receiver, and HDMI to the TV.
I've tried the Auto MCACC setup on the receiver and tagged each input (Comp1 - TV, HDMI BD - Blu-Ray, etc). I have no idea if I did it right becuase I get no change in anything on the speakers or picture.
For some reason I get no sound or picture on the TV (says no signal or weak signal). But the TV recognizes that there is a cable hooked up because it lights up the right input (HDMI 1 on the TV).
When I I try and bypass the receiver with the BluRay and input it straight into the TV (AV2) it lights up the screen with Samsung BluRay screen and then goes black. The BluRay then wont open / close.
The radio on the receiver works and so do the surround speakers. I just cant get the receiver, bluray, shaw box or TV to talk the same language.
Hopefully some of the audiophiles on here can help me out!! TIA
