I love all sandwiches and Philly's are right up there for me. Here's my East meets West take on this classic...

Striploin steak, thinly sliced (8oz steak)
Soy sauce
Garlic, minced
Ginger, minced
Hoisin sauce
(if you don't have any Hoisin, substitute with brown sugar or honey and a splash of wine vinegar...preferably red)

Onion, thinly sliced
Mushrooms, sliced (I would recommend crimini)
Spinach

Shredded Mozarella

marinade the beef for at least a half an hour. Saute quickly with some vegetable oil (sesame oil if you have it). Add onions and mushrooms and cook until onions are soft, then add the spinach. All you really wanna do with the spinach is wilt it briefly.

choose your favorite type of bun, I prefer an Italian bread like and Amoroso Roll. spread butter or wasabi mayo on the bun. Add your steak and vegies, top with some moza and bake until the cheese is nicely melted.
