If you're going to be a jerk and not signal, at least be consistent. By not signalling when neccessary, but needlessly signalling when its unneccessary, you just come off as stupid. And its not just one or two people either. I've noticed on numerous occasions that a number of people have that habit.

personally when changing lanes I sometimes dont signal, but only if there is no one that requires the knowledge that Im about to signal. Like if i'm on the highway or soemthing
