no cover system, very repetitive gameplay, weapons all seem very lackluster, and it just seems to try and piss you off every chance it gets. it was bad enough with those mutant shark things that are un-killable but instagib you the moment you enter the water, or those floating robots that swarm you with a dozen at a time and no way to find cover. but i had to shut the game off when it decided to bring out the invisible wolverine knockoffs that killed you with one swipe of their claws. with a mouse and keyboard it may not have been so bad, but trying to turn around quick enough when one pops up behind you using a controller is just too frustrating
the boss fights were boring as hell too. i almost fell asleep fighting the giant fish thing while you're on a floating platform, rinse & repeat the same cycle of moves for a solid 5-6 minutes with a gun that shoots once every 10 seconds. i can't stand games that think difficulty=annoying, the Call of Duty games are perfect for showing that you can have a difficult game without it being irritating
