How far and how fast this show has fallen.
The biggest problem was that the creative crew tied themselves to a cheap hook and now can't satisfactorily write themselves out of it.
By giving us a "who are the cylons?" angle it gets us interested to a point but then it just gets absurd. There are only, what, 4 other characters it can be?

There you go. Whoever it is revealed will not make any narrative sense or will seem too obvious.
Goes to show what planning does for good writing. The creative crew clearly had planned the first two seasons as the narrative was consistent and mostly made sense.
Then the ridiculousness of these final two seasons show they were essentially flying from the seat of their pants.
Hold onto your hats, the finale will be either entirely predictable or underwhelming.
