I thought before the season that Riccardi was saying they had money to play with, and would basically see what holes needed to be filled before they spent it.
Well, I would say some pitching help would be a good place to start. I know it's easier said than done, but they really do need some help.
I like Halladay, Chacin and Gaudin as a top 3. Towers is OK, maybe an OK #5 guy, but he is inconsistent. I really don't like Bush or Lilly. I know Lilly has had some success before, but something about him just doesn't sit well with me. If another young guy can step up or the Jays can aquire some help via a trade (a #3 or 4 type guy), they should be in the thick of things all season long.
I just hope Riccardi doesn't pull a Craig (Pause) Button and decide not to do anything until it's too late.
