This is a minor detail, but here's a pet peeve of mine:

That's not a fallacy. A fallacy is a formal error of reasoning--such as when people mistakenly generalize about climate change based on local weather patterns. Someone telling a lie is not a fallacy--it's a falsehood. Words mean things, people!
