My wife couldn't stop talking about how unprofessional the Golden Globes are, while I like them for the fact that people seem to be more casual, laid back, and easy going at this show. No fans on the inside, more jabs and jokes (Cheadle had me in tears).
Other differences between Oscars and GGs:
- The Globes don't rush at the begining of the show, and rush the important awards at the end. Completely different to the Oscars.
- The Globes recognize the difference between Drama and Comedy in movies, but not the difference between Comedy and miniseries in Television.
- The Globes don't have a host.
- The Globes, for the most part, don't rely on clips of the person in the role.
- The Globes usually find someone in the bathroom, or have someone swear or stick up a middle finger in the middle of their acceptance speeches.
- The Globes are a good indication of what to expect when the Oscars announce nominations.
