I can't ever recall seeing someone on a plane that has needed a seatbelt extender, let alone someone who is so big they need two seats. I just can't see it happening that often at all.
I think the grand total cost to each of the airlines of this will be less than $25,000.00 per year. They'll cry and complain and claim it *could* cost millions, but in reality, after 12 months, even at full freight ticket prices (not last minute sale prices, or standby prices).

More likely yet the airlines will make more money because fat people buy more in-flight snacks and drinks.
