Ugh. That wasn't funny. Friggin nightmare. I did something similar a few years ago with my Ranger out at Waiporous. I was still a total rookie at 4x4ing and after getting stuck once and getting pulled out by a nice guy, my foot slipped off the brake and I smashed into his truck.
Then, a few hours later I got my truck stuck in a thick puddle that was deeper than the clearance of my truck so mud started to seep in. Eventually, I had about 3" of muddy water inside my truck. Ruined my amp and some 6x9s.
I tried and tried to get unstuck, but all I did was cram my clutch full of mud to the point that it wouldn't engage. I thought I fried it, but after taking it out, all I had to do was clean out the compressor thingy that I don't know the name of. And that took place at U-Wrench in Calgary. I had to get towed out to the highway by another kind soul and then call a tow truck to get it taken to U-Wrench. That turned out to be a long, expensive and generally crappy weekend.
