If, for some strange reason, Canada wanted to... We could surround any aircraft flying in our airspace and force it to land and do whatever we wanted to do inside of that plane. The whole "US airplane = US soil" thing is all well and good, in the US propaganda circus, but it means absolutely nothing to any nation that the plane is currently flying over.
