I would insist on a brand new one at the used price for your troubles. Whatever you ask for, be sure to know what you want when you speak to the manager, and be calm but firm.

I would also recommend against ever buying an open box TV. There is no way to know the history- was it a return (damaged), return because of buyer's remorse, or was it one that had been on the floor running for 12 hours per day for 6 months and then boxed?
