Edmonton has its share of criminals and creeps, but the people are generally great folks. The city of Champions tag is not because of sports, but for the city's spirit and can-do attitude. It was conceived after the city's terrific response to the 1987 tornado and the city's rep for giving to others and community spirit in staging big events like Universiade. I'll quit now; I suspect this point of view won't be warmly received here.
