Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying if you fail at University you fail at life. My sister got frickin Ds in HS but did excellent in Uni, and I know of people who were the opposite.
Others I know are really successful at stuff like welding etc that require little academic schooling and lots of on the job learning that I would likely fail miserably at. To each his own for sure, University is not a good fit for everyone, and there are lots of other opportunities for people who aren't cut out for it. I certainly don't attribute going to Uni as being higher in rank than doing anything else, because you can still be very successful without it.

I agree 100% about what you're saying. We all have talents and abilities and that doesn't always take us the university route. A good buddy apprenticed as an auto mechanic and is quite sucessful at what he is doing. Another bud took a trade in the construction industry.
