Years ago when my sister or I would fly home, the car we got to use was the old station wagon- complete with the AM radio/ 8 Track stereo. (That's right; no FM.)
Then I was at some flea market and found a bunch of good 8-tracks. Rush, Supertramp, Pink Floyd, etc. They weren't cheap- a few bucks each, but I didn't care. My sister was also happy when I told her the news.
A few months later she calls me from my parent's house; she has looked in the car and cannot find the "new" 8 Tracks anywhere. I told her that they should all be in the centre console. At that point my mom asked what she was looking for, and that's when we found out my mom had sold them all in their latest garage sale, and got 25¢ for the lot of them.
