Excellent guess. It wasn't that, but it was at that time.
I was on vacation in BC, and a drunk went off the road and smashed into a tree. That was the firetrucks and police and ambulance. I just pulled my camera out, and didn't even try to change any settings. Forgot I had a longer exposure time set.
Sometimes my favorite pictures come by complete accident!
