Sarah Harmer is probably most famous for her solo work after Weeping Tile went on extended hiatus late 90's.
Interestingly, I found out while googling that Harmer and Wright got together this month as Weeping Tile to do a show or two in Kingston.
My initial experience with this band was hearing Cold Snap. Found out who the band was, that they were from Canada, so bought the CD. Then I got to see them live couple times at The Republik and really fell in love with them...or the lead singer one of the two. Must be that it seemed she was singing to me as I stood front and center.
I used to jokingly call her my girlfriend as I did ask her out on a date after one show at the Republik. I was very drunk by that time, 0300!
I waited till all the other well wishers but one girl had gone, so it was just the band, staff and my ex and I (we were weird, we still hung out)
me: loved the show
Sarah: thanks
me: do you want to go get a drink somewhere?
Sarah: I think everywhere's closed
me: oh
(remember I am pretty drunk)
me: do you want to come to my place for a drink?
Sarah: I can't, I am meeting an old friend (the one other girl in the bar) but why don't you come back with us and party?
me: okay
So, my ex and I spent the next 2 hours partying with the band. It would have been more cool if I hadn't already been drunk. They had anything back there you could want.
My ex gf made a splash by telling them that she really want to bake cookies and give them to them. (A sign of how much she liked them) She told them she was too embarrassed to do it. They thought it would have been awesome.
