I think it was done earlier in the thread. But if each ticket is worth $2.30, then it would require you to ride the train more than 36 times in a month for a monthly pass to be worth it.

So say you take the train to and from work, for the 21 business days, it would be worth it. But if you get a ride for 3 of those days, it's no longer worth it.
