If Santa is not real, then he must be a commercial fabrication, in which case why would they market a fat hairy old guy? Wouldn't it make more sense for Santa to be tall dark and handsome so when he's pictured everywhere during the holidays, women (who generally spend more than me) are in better moods shopping and then end up spending more money?

If Santa is not real, then you mean to tell me that the Government of Canada is committing one of the biggest identity frauds of all time. Creating a person, giving him a likeness (or taking it over), assigning him an address, postal code, and then when children write letters to him, they actually reply? How scary is that! Talk about fraud, collecting personal information on households, cross referencing government databases versus what people voluntarily tell you. Businesses could use the Freedom of Information Act to get their hands on all this research already done.

Seriously, you mean to tell me Santa isn't real? You must be one of those conspiracy theory nut-jobs: Santa doesn't exist, the moon landing never happened, aliens crash landed at area 51 . . . yeah yeah yeah, go put your tinfoil hat back on

PS: Merry Christmas
