All that aside you mis-represented your point, what the OPP is wanting is a new charge they can slap on drivers that they can not get for DD because of lack of evidence...thats it.

This is not some crazy frontier justice that will allow on scene police officers to render judgments on car accident and make people pay for damage without the involvment of their insurance company. It wont happen, can't happen...it is illegal and every insurance contract in the province would have to be re-written first (along with probably the insurance act as well).

So yeah, if thats is what your saying is going to happen (or is even being purposed by anyone of any status) then I call BS.
FIrst off smart ass I didn't say it's effective, I'm meaning to say it's coming and it will. You want to call BS on that I don't give a lick. Press doesn't have much on it because no one wants to bring it up right now because there is bigger fish to fry. Insurance companies are salivating at this plan because it takes them off the hook for a lot of crap and it will bring loss ratios in line since they are well over 100% in most provinces. Auto is not profitable, it's not rocket science, the system is flawed and insurance companies are trying everything to change that. They will get they're way at some point. If it's in the US already I don't see what would stop it from infesting up here.
