Then why can't you show me a single link that advises this to be the case? Dion was nice enough to find one link that talks about your point, but it also talks about this being an "idea" the head of the OPP had. In the article itself he acknowledges taking heat for even trying to purpose new legislation. Dude might want to make laws but he will need to get elected for that to happen. All that aside you mis-represented your point, what the OPP is wanting is a new charge they can slap on drivers that they can not get for DD because of lack of evidence...thats it.

This is not some crazy frontier justice that will allow on scene police officers to render judgments on car accident and make people pay for damage without the involvment of their insurance company. It wont happen, can't happen...it is illegal and every insurance contract in the province would have to be re-written first (along with probably the insurance act as well).

So yeah, if thats is what your saying is going to happen (or is even being purposed by anyone of any status) then I call BS.
