I've been checking out the CP album draft thread and the top music lists of 08 and I honestly think most of these bands are so generic and/or so terrible I can't fathom how anyone would say they are good. Bands like TV on the Radio, Modest Mouse etc are so awful I can hardly get through the youtube clips posted.

LOL, I was gonna completely agree with your post, and then you listed 2 bands I like. Neither of which are new at all.
