Or the one were the guy can't take a simple measurement so his wife was kind enough to buy him a tape measure with digital screen?! I just saw a new yesterday when the wife buys a guy a nail gun or something and she is the only one using it. At the end she just comes and takes it from him, and he just sits there like a spineless tool. And the worst is the one where the Dad isn't even smart enough for his little daughters when he's trying to pick-out a coffee maker.

It really irritates me.
This isn't just commercials, it seems like it's been a running theme for our society for most of my adult life (24). Did other generations have this inferiority complex of depicting alpha males as morons? Is it a gender equality issue, but we think that the only way to pull it off is to have men so stupid that women doing unremarkable things is celebrated?

I'm really hoping we evolve past this point, because its a pretty pathetic reflection of our society.
