This storm was predicted for at least 24 hours before it arrived. In fact, it arrived almost exactly on schedule at 12:00 noon, and I watched it roll in on the weather radar. We get these storms maybe twice a year. So yes, you can have plows/sanders out on at least Deerfoot running from the start of the storm, and you can do some pre sanding of on ramps and steep sections. (And not this powder they are using, which is a joke.)

Having lived through identical situations in Vancouver, I'd say Vancouver does a much better job.
