I would NOT be driving the road to Whiteswan anytime after any significant snow has fallen. The road is decent for the most part but is very steep in portions and I can tell you from personal experience that even with a 4X4 it is a scary ride when she gets some snow and ice on her. There are a couple of sections where if you're vehicle fails to stop you go right over the edge of a cliff.
With that said, Whiteswan is awesome and I think would be exactly what your looking for. There are 4-5 different pools, each on a different level. The highest pools (furthest from the river) are the hottest (very very hot!) and closer the river they get cooler and cooler (youd have a rough time sitting in the real close ones during the winter). They have built nice steps down to the pools which are usually accessible in the winter as well as the summer. Hope that helps a little.
