I remember there was a concert on the Coca-Cola stage that I wanted to see, so I made up an excuse, saying my cousins were leaving and I was saying good bye to them...she told me if I wanted to say good bye to my cousins that I shouldn't bother coming back. So I went to the concert, and never went back.

You should have threatened to go to the Workers Compensation Board with a complaint. Its illegal for an employer to not give you an hour lunch and two 15 minute breaks if you work more than eight hours.
