Prorouged?
Anyhow...I dont disgree with what you are saying at all with regards to harper. He made a bit of a tactical mistake that as someon else coined was responded too by taking a nuclear bomb to kill a mosquito. The party may have unity behind his idea of cutting taxpayer dollars to prop up parties, but timing and optics matter a lot too and he has caused all of his MP's a great deal of work because of it.
That being said, this is no time for him to backdown from the face of seperatists having the ability to extort the country's financial coffers. Afterall, as Dion and Layton have admitted repeatedly, they feel they are better equipped to guide the country through the forseeable financial crisis, yet have no plan of their own and can't even co-ordinate a proper 3 minute video when needed. Beyond that, even if people don't think Harper was given a mandate to run the country, they have to admit that Dion was most certainly told in no uncertain terms he was not wanted by a huge majority of Canadians as well. So harper should fight this fight based just on that situation alone.
