You made it crystal clear. Without the Bloc's support, the Liberal/NDP coalition would be the second largest party, and at the mercy of the conservatives. They also would not have the support for the GG to even consider them as a viable alternative. How would a party of 114 seats have more confidence than one with 143?
Why would the Bloc be a signatory if they weren't a part of the coalition. Yes, not part of the "government", but part of the coalition.
