They couldn't let Shane live after what he did to Lem. The writers had to take him out somehow, and they did an outstanding job of painting him into a corner where you could feel that he was trapped.

Mara was the cause of so much trouble for the Strike Team, I find it satisfying (in a TV sort of way) that she met that demise. I hated that woman from the first time she was on the show and knew she was going to be the end of things for at least Shane if not everyone.

I still don't understand how Corrine came to the conclusion that Vic was going to hurt her. I never for a minute thought he was capable of that, despite all that he WAS capable of. I mean, the guy couldn't even let Shane go down in the Armenian massacre as he and Ronnie planned. Fatal error. Vic was never going to hurt them. Corrine has always been a bit of an idiot though.

Ronnie gets the shaft. Smartest and most loyal member of the team and he goes down. So not fair!

My wife and I were discussing how early in the show Wyms and Waggenbach were always willing to look the other way when Vic and the team helped them with one of their cases. Hypocricy at its finest!

So, what are the ideas on where Vic was going?
