Geez there are a lot of forgiving folks around here.
There is nothing wrong with swearing, shouting and insulting in a situation like this. No need to get in a fistfight of course but calling a moron a moron doesn't hurt. Well, at least it doesn't hurt you.
Funny that he told the cop about your alleged speedy driving. He obviously got burned on that but what did he expect the cop to say -- "oh, you've seen him speed before? Smashing his car is therefore justified"?
There are other more vulnerable things on the street (pedestrians, bikes, skateboards, strollers) so hopefully a good berating and a hefty payout will make her check the mirrors next time.
