I agree with Trout in that a landlocked province with 3.5 million people makes as much sense as the country of Southern Alberta, Calgary, or even the Sultanate of West Hills.
However given that seemingly the one thing the coalition parties all can agree on is massive bailouts to money losing industries at even the best of times in other provinces with money coming from essentially Alberta and Saskatchewan and the fact that a 'Green Shift,' Socialism, and Quebec Separatism are all not positive things for Alberta, a little chest beating is in order. Apparently sending 143 Conservative MPs to Ottawa isn't enough to protect our economy so maybe sending 28 'Bloc Alberta' MPs to be the swing vote in a coalition government might do a better job of extracting what we want out of confederation (Simply to be granted all the powers 100% given to the provinces in the British North America Act of 1867). Seems to be working for Quebec, why not us too.
