Maybe no new Force sensatives would be discovered in that galaxy, but existing Jedi would not suddenly rid their bodies of them or have their connection with the Force severed.
Plop a jedi onto each space dock and Utopia Planitia and good bye federation.
George Lucas thanks to that idiotic midichlorian thing. Took all the mystique out of the force... so lame.

Its kind of like that episode of TOS where Kirk and Spock got what is essentially "the force" from ingesting food and drink and fought those other "force powered people" on that Greek gods planet. As soon as they left, their powers left.

You know, if the Sith were so powerful, how did the Alliance survive for 20+ years without a Jedi in their corner. The way some Wars defenders talk, you'd think Vader would have choked every single one of them out, with Palpatine zapping all the dissenters in the Senate instantly. Only the novels got into Jedi superskills like moving planets and the kind of fanwank stuff the Jedi/Sith would have to be capable of to make them a serious advantage against the Federation.

Of course, if the Jedi were so super powerful, how'd the majority get wiped out by some weak ass storm troopers.

Beam a couple Jedi into Spacedock, and they'd screw the place up a lot... but they'd never make it out alive.

Of course, that's assuming the Republic/Alliance would fight the Federation. Odds are they'd team up, with the Jedi negating the Sith advantage, and Federation starships holding the advantage in shielding, FTL combat and weapons technology.
