I think it's unfortunate that conceding on an issue has to be perceived as "caving in". It is sort of the same thing, but it just sounds so negative. Personally, I think politicians (especially in a minority government) need to concede on issues in order to make things work. I also don't vote for politicians that I think are going to be so stubborn that they refuse to ever change their minds on anything. It's like if they change their mind or agree to cooperate with another party, they are branded as liars, wafflers or hypocrites, when I think some of the time, they should be applauded for it.
