I have a slight case of asthma. Air purifiers are suppose to help, and for myself, they do seem to help a bit. I've put the contraption up where the sun comes in from the window, and seen it in action. They definitely suck a lot of dust out of the air over time.

Humidifiers, on the other hand, seem to make things worse.
