Hi, I don't have asthma, but I know someone who does. Essentially, I was thinking of getting them an air humidifier or air purifier as a gift, but only if it has a positive affect on asthma sufferers in the home. I read some reviews, some of which were too glorious to be plausible, while others were disconcerting claiming negligible benefits. For those CPers with experience (known someone with asthma or has asthma themselves), could you jot down a few lines regarding whether air humidifiers or air purifying machines in your home helped mitigate the nastiness of asthma, particularly in the winter months.
