They will lose AJ and I doubt they will use any salary to sign another top pitcher. Most likely use a prospect like Cecil to take his place.

That seems to be a consensus, but I think they've got the same odds of making the playoffs as they've had the last couple years. We need a career year out of two or three big name guys, unexpectedly terrific performances from a few prospects, solid contributions from a couple unheralded veterans, and some luck - the same thing Boston and Tampa has been getting the last couple years.
We have the personnel that such a season isn't impossible, but I admit the odds are stacked against the Jays.
