Amen to that. I can't stand cyclists that think they deserve the benefits of being both a vehicle and a pedestrian (i.e. ride on the sidewalk during rush hour). That probably irks me as much as drivers that don't change lanes when a cyclist is in front. I'm an avid cyclist myself and I treat it as though I'm a car when I'm forced to ride on the street. I've been very close to being hit by drivers that decide it is safe to pass you in the same lane.

I would definitely put my car into gear and slam on the brakes if some @sshat was walking on my hood. People seriously need to take a chill pill, I doubt any of us do this deliberately. I've been caught in situations like 4x4 described a couple of times where a large vehicle in front of you blocks your view of the lights then leaves you a red light as you're spanning the crosswalk. Not like I feel good about it. It happens.
