With my 4th round pick I would like to select, in the Album - Folk / Blues / World category, The Diamond Mountain Sessions (2001) by Sharon Shannon & Friends.
I was introduced to Sharon Shannon via her collaboration with Steve Earle on the track Galway Girl which originally appeared on Earle's release, Transcendental Blues. I soon picked up The Diamond Mountain sessions and was loving it. Not always the first album I think of popping on but bloody enjoyable and fun when I do. My daughter goes absolutely crazy for this album.
