It's painful, and will continue to be painful for the next two years while the LRT is under construction. You problem is twofold, getting by Stoney/Crowchild and Nose Hill / Crowchild. Both are getting interchanges now but the construction zones will be troublesome until then. On average it'll take you 10-15 minutes to clear those two intersections in the winter if you left your house at 7:15. If it snows, make it 30 minutes.
It all depends on what time you go to work. Go in for a 7:30 or earlier start time and it's not so bad. Go any later and you'll be out of luck for a parking spot. I'd personally just drive to the Brentwood park and ride, spots in Dalhousie are tough to come by, Brentwood is much bigger.
Other than the rush hour, it's otherwise a pretty good place to commute from, other than the raw distances involved.
