Danny Maciocia has stepped down as head coach of the Edmonton Eskimos.

After four seasons as bench boss, Maciocia is now the club's full-time general manager and director of football operations, Sun Media has learned.

Is there something in the water in Edmonton? Just like the Oilers, the Eskimoes promote someone who really needed to be fired.
