I ran the Shinerama program for my college in 1984, it was an amazing learning experience. They flew a bunch of us from various schools across the country to just outside Barrie Ont for orientation and to get educated on the disease that at that time had kids lucky to live beyond the age of 17 or 18. Many were dead by age 12. Now that has doubled. Its been an amazing progress.
And who cares if it affects only caucasians...it freaking kills them. I guess white folk don't deserve to find cures for thier maladies any more huh?

No of course not. My Ancestors 400 years ago enslaved blacks killed natives, and expropriated territory that didn't belong to them. Clearly I by extention MUST be evil and therefore any disease that strikes me down must be a JUST disease.
You know if you want to feel great about where you might stand 30-40 years from now in this country look no further than the 'official' opinions, policies, and unofficial behavior of Student groups at some of our Universities like McGill, U of T, York, Concordia, Carleton, U of O, etc.
