I am not looking for anyone's vote or support for the party I am involved with. And that is what, at times makes it difficult for me to post my opinions. When I do, some interpret that as "party policy" rather than my "personal" opinion.
I do not know if I will run again; but it is always in the back of my mind....anything I type today could come back to haunt me later. From the party's perspective I have to be very aware of statements I make publicly.
I know you are not trying to piss me off. I can see how my being cautious about spewing my opinions could be interpreted as smoke and mirrors, that is not the intent.
As for your edits.....

I had no idea that you had ran for anything. It's actually pretty neat, the people who post here and some of the things they've done. Actually the entire concept of a human being pretty much blows me away - if that makes any sense.
I digress... What I'm trying to say is that I think it's awesome that you've actually stood up and tried get involved. So many people (myself included) have plenty to say, but so few of us (myself included) actually do anything of significance about it. I used to be pretty vocal about a lot of things, and one day a friend of mine called me on it. He said (he's french, btw), "Every day you have something, but you never do the things." (Translation: "Get off your ass and put your money where your mouth is.")
I've always wanted to get involved, but well... life and procrastination and fear and all that.
Anyway, kudos for trying to make a difference with more than just a couple words at a cocktail party. I know it's not easy!
