3. I represent the general Alberta voting population: I am someone who has better things to do with my time than study the intricacies of hidden-agenda based policies. I am someone who would rather the person talking to me would just get to the point and say what's on their mind, and then trust me to form my own opinions without the benefit of persuasion. If you expect to earn the vote of someone like myself (for anything) it may be a good thing to work on this one.

Honestly, I'm not trying to piss you off. I'm just very weary of the whole smoke and mirrors political tactic. If you want me to pay attention to anything you (or whichever party you represent) say, you should use your own words and your own ideas. Keeping in mind, of course, that the "I" in my previous statement really means "most of Alberta."

Edit: I'd never in a million years try to persuade you to not post things here. I'm really just asking you to make your point clearer for people like myself who don't have the kind of time needed to research the background behind your posts. Hopefully you take it as such.

Edit: Removed a few things. I tend to do that. In fact, I may even remove this latest edit at some point.

Edit: Hmmm. I'm rethinking part of what I wrote. The persuasion part, specifically. I actually have the personal belief that, if someone feels strongly about something, they have a responsibility to try to change my mind. I may or may not remove this point at any given time. Rawr.

Edit: In fact, it may be plausible to take everything I've written here and throw it out the window. I believe there's a possibility that I may or may not do this and I hereby reserve the right to do so at any given moment in time.

Edit: Also... pie is so much better than cake, that it's not even really a valid discussion. I may or may not alter my stance on this edit accordingly.
1. I don't dislike you either.

2. I have no such expectation.

3. Generally as a thread (and discussion) develops I will contribute and/or debate. (time permitting, I do have a busy life). Sometimes, I simply "observe".

I am not looking for anyone's vote or support for the party I am involved with. And that is what, at times makes it difficult for me to post my opinions. When I do, some interpret that as "party policy" rather than my "personal" opinion.

I do not know if I will run again; but it is always in the back of my mind....anything I type today could come back to haunt me later. From the party's perspective I have to be very aware of statements I make publicly.

I know you are not trying to piss me off. I can see how my being cautious about spewing my opinions could be interpreted as smoke and mirrors, that is not the intent.

As for your edits.....
