Saskatchewan has learned the hard way that you have to work with Industry to craft legislation that is a win /win situation for both parties. I recall in the 70's when the Saskatchewan Government figured they could find and develop their oil better than the private sector by forming Saskoil, they essentially shut down private investment for a very long time (+ /- 15? years). Glad to see they have learned by their mistakes.
I don't feel Alberta's conventional oil and gas industry will get back to normal until the new Royalty System is scrapped.
