As I've always pointed out in these situation, we don't have a justice system, we have a legal system. And to use a popular cliche, it is what it is. It ain't great by a long shot and I want to see legislators and judges do something to fix its many problems. On the other hand, it beats the system that exists in Somalia, Afghanistan, China, North Korea, Iran, Rwanda ... for that matter, it beats most of the world. I think that's what frustrates me so much. We're close to having something good, but still so far away at the same time.
