Modern Banjos are like a starship Enterprise compared to the period instruments in question.
Banjos are easier to build than guitars. Some of the early instruments were very crude.
Woodstock was the climax of the hippie movement. Have you seen the documentary? The audience were hippies and the musicians were most certainly too. Some more than others for sure, but lets be real...400,000 hippies had a peaceful three days of music that will be remembered for all-time.
