Unemployment in Quebec is sitting at just over 7%; that's about twice what it is in Alberta. However, comparing any province to Alberta is not a fair comparison in my opinion, as we are an exception to the rule when it comes to the Canadian economy.
And unemployment, for the most part, exists because people can't find work. Not because they don't want to work.

Hey that's great that you played the 'don't judge a book by its cover' card, or the its 'prejudiced to assume work ethic based on hobby or personal experience' card. But please lay off a little. I wasn't even the person who coined the term 'bongo player in the park' in a negative light. I used the term facetiously in light of the earlier comments in the thread, acknowledging such a statement was very un-PC and presumptuous.
